Active IQ Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (Gym)

Qualification Details:

• The Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing (Gym) is first qualification requirement within the fitness industry

• Successful completion of the qualification will allow candidates to achieve level 2 status on the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS) (a basic requirement to practice within a regulated health and fitness industry)

• The qualification is nationally recognised and never expire

 

Course content:

This course will teach you how to:

• Design effective resistance and cardiovascular training programmes

• Deliver exercise sessions and gym inductions to a variety of clients

• Perform a range of resistance and cardiovascular exercises encompassing a variety of machines and equipment

• Relate sound knowledge of anatomy and physiology to exercise and fitness

• Develop good customer service and communication skills that will inspire clients

Format:

• Generally 8 days plus assessment

• Qualifications are delivered to small group numbers ensuring that you get the best possible experience from the training

Entry Requirements and Target Candidates

• Candidates must be over 16

• Basic prior knowledge of gym machines and exercises is recommended

• Suitable for individuals wishing to pursue a career in the health and fitness industry as fitness instructors or personal trainers
